Show September 5, HILL TOP TIMES 1980 Page Register for religious class Air Force Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Beverly J. Barnett, announced that religious education programs are getting started and registration is now being taken for the fall sessions. "There is a class for nearly everyone," said Chaplain Barnett. Protestant Sunday School has classes for children ages three and over. The Catholic CCD registers children beginning at age four. Children under these ages are cared for during class hours at the base nursery at no expense to the parent. The nursery is directly behind the main chapel building: "A dedicated staff of teachers is available and ready to transmit their faith in an understandable way to each age and grade level," Chaplain Barnett said. "Buildings 128 and 130, located on 3rd and E Streets, will house most of the religious education classes through grade 12: Young adults singles and adult classes meet in the main chapel basement at the same hour classes meet in buildings 128 and 130," said Chaplain Barnett. . Air Force buses will pick up children after classes and bring them to the chapel, thus ending the need for parents to drive to the classroom to pick them up. On base children can remain on the bus and be returned directly back to their own neighborhood. .
