Show welcome this opportunity to communicate directly with the people of Hill Air Force Base. Together, through the People Line, we can improve our working and living conditions. If you have a question, comment, suggestion or problem, dial People I PdD would like some information about glass desk tops. Can a glass desk top be requisitioned from Base Supply, the Glass Shop, or elsewhere on base? If not, may we buy a glass desk top from an outside concern, bring it on base and use it? If we want to remove it from the base at a later date, may we? My last question would be, if someone other than the owner broke the glass desk top could they be held responsible for replacing it? 1 Page! I am very interested in aircraft and would like to know if it is permissible to go out on the ramp and take some pictures? I work here on base. I hnH n Int nf from a private concern, it is suggested that a hard plastic or safety glass be bought. As for responsibility for damaging the glass or damage caused by the glass, the base is not responsible. This responsibility is solely the owner's. If another person breaks your glass desk top it would only be a courtesy to replace it, not a responsibility . If a contractor causes damage to your glass desk top and the date, time and place are known, we could pursue a claim for damage, but we certainly could not guarantee payment or replacement. The bottom line is that glass desk tops are generally unnecessary and are solely the option of the user. a Car pools have phones Sorry, but it cannot be permitted. Our concern in con- trolling photography at air bases is that of security and access to restricted or controlled areas of the base. For instance, there are areas here at Hill AFB where photography might reveal information that could be detrimental to our security. Unfortunately, it would be impossible for us to provide restricted or controlled area escort officers to assist Hill AFB photographers in their hobby pursuits. If an open house is held for the public, then you are free to photograph whatever aircraft are on static display. Calling if quits Just before quitting. Smoke more heavily than usual so the experience becomes distasteful. Collect all your cigarette butts in one large glass container as a visual reminder of the filth smoking represents. Practice going without cigarettes. Don't think of never smoking again. Think of quitting in terms of one day at a time. Tell yourself you won't smoke today and then don't.
