Show PUBLIC NOTICE . The City of Milford reports that bacteriological standards were exceeded in 16 of the tube samples analyzed by the State Laboratory Lab-oratory during the fourth quarter of 1980. (Oct., Nov., and December) This constitutes con-stitutes a violation since Utah Regulations allow an average of no more than 10 of tubes showing the presence pres-ence of coliforms in any quarter. Bacteriological sampling is performed on a weekly basis by the City of Milford. The coliform organism is used as an indicator of microbiological mi-crobiological quality. While most coliform organisms pose no threat to health, their presence does indicate that a source of contamination might exist somewhere in the water system. The City has checked all connections and found no cross connections or leaks which could cause this condition. con-dition. The City is continuing continu-ing to check any sources that could cause contamination. contamina-tion.
