Show DoIugs Son logo Friday With Blair Coon stillside-lined stillside-lined with Mononucleosis, Coach Barnes employed a three guard attack that scared scar-ed the pants off of the Enterprise Enter-prise Wolves last Friday and with less than two minutes to go, down by two points, the Tigers missed three baskets bas-kets that could have put them on top for their first league win. But Enterprise went into a four corner stall and drew a couple of fouls that gave them the 64-60 win. Vince Cramer and Brian Phelps went wild in the first period, swishing 15-20 footers foot-ers from all over the court to grab a 21-12 first quarter lead. They extended that lead to 11 points, 23-12, before be-fore the Tigers 1-3-1 defense shut them off, and they bagan their slow climb back. But by intermission the Tigers had not only closed the gap but took a one point lead, 32-31, outscoring the Wolves 20-10 in the second sec-ond period. But Russell Gardner started to hit from about five feet in front of the basket and opened up Cramer and Phelps in the third period, and the Wolves gained a nine point spread, and the Tigers were in the hole again. But the scrappy Tigers wouldn't say die, and playing play-ing tough defense, and running run-ning on offense pulled back to within three, 47-50, at the three quarter mark. Ephie Tolman, with 19, led the Tiger attack while the Hardy brothers combined com-bined for 28, Chad with 16 and Troy with 12. Mark Belliston added five and Charlie Coates and Robbie Rob-bie Bolton, four each. Gardner had 20 to pace the Wolves, Cramer turned turn-ed In 16, Phelps 12 and Holt 9. The Tigers have now turned turn-ed in two consistent games, and if they get everyone healthy, could be spoilers in the Round Robin, to any team that overlooks them. They wrap up the season schedule this Friday entertaining enter-taining Parowan at Milford. Varsity game time is 7:30 p.m. Milford hit 36 percent from the floor, and grabbed 38 rebounds and had 13 assists as-sists Friday. They had 12 of 16 from the foul line. |
