Show Meet To Discuss Sanitary District Four persons have filed for the Salt Lake Suburban Sanitary District Dis-trict No. 1 trustee position, according ac-cording to William T. South, district dis-trict manager. Deadline for filing is May 20, Mr. South. Applications may be obtained at the district offices, 1449 E. 3350 South. The election to fill the six-year position left vacant by Nick Papanikolas will be held June 5. Eligible voters number 2,000, Mr. South said. Candidates are: Dr. Leslie D. Burbidge, 1748 Millcreek Way, Salt Lake dentist and president of the StateBoard of Corrections. Arthur J.' Hicks, 2225 E. 3020 South, resident engineer for Ocean Accident and Guarantee Co. Vaughn B. Wonnacott, 2512 E. 3080 South, assistant engineer for the Metropolitan Water District. J. Lynden Mather, filed for the position several weeks ago. A new L.D.S. student Ward, the University 4 th, was formed Sunday night at the Institute of Religion for out-of-town students at the University of Utah. Sustained as the Bishopric of the 4th Ward, which was created, upon the division of University 3rd Ward, were Oscar W. Mc-Conkie Mc-Conkie Jr., Bishop, Neal A. Maxwell, Max-well, 1st counselor, and Donald R. Snow, 2nd counselor. The two wards will include all out-of-town L.D.S. students who live in Salt Lake Valley both on and off-campus while attending the University of Utah, according to President Wilford W. Kirton, President of University Stake. |
