Show 5jP "Teen-Talkers" OLYMPUS HIGH By Kathleen Hinckley In commemoration of Mothers Day, the Laurel Club is sponsered an afternoon tea for all Olympus Olym-pus High girls and their mothers. The tea was held last Sunday at Olympus. A program lended entertainment entertain-ment and refreshments were served. ser-ved. The Laurel Club is a club made up of senior girls. Throughout the year, the club sponsers many such activities. Officers of the club are: Dor-tha Dor-tha Gerrard, president; Sharon Jacobson, vice president; Judy Larson secretary; and Joyce Norton, treasurer. Vesper Services for the graduating gradu-ating students of Olympus High will be held this Sunday, May 19, in the school auditorium. The guest speaker this year will be T. Edgar Lyon. These services are held annually an-nually for all graduating students stu-dents the Sunday before commencement com-mencement exercises. Each year the group is favored with a different dif-ferent guest speaker. Four girls were recently chosen as pom pom girls for next year's Pep Club Special tryouts were held for these girls at which time they were selected on the basis of poise, rythm, appearance, and marching ability. The selected girls are Mary Ann Stillman, Sherry Hendersen, Roseane Openshaw and Pat Da-vies. Da-vies. Next year these girls will perform perf-orm with the pep club but will be dressed in an alternate color scheme. |
