Show ' Junior Music Club Organized from High School Group Sponsored by the Springville Federated Music club, a Junior Music Club, comprising junior and senior high school students, was organized at the home of Mrs. Zara Tonks Sunday. Several state officers attended the organization meeting, including Mrs. Harry Mensenl of Provo, state president; Mrs. F. C. Packard, vice.president in charge of club extensions, ex-tensions, who acted as installing officer and Mrs. Marvin' Gease of Provo, state junior club director; also Zina Johnson, president of the bpnngviKe sponsoring club. Each of the officers present spoke briefly commending the young people for their new organization organ-ization and the interest shown. Lucille Bryan was named president presi-dent of the club; David Pennington, Penning-ton, vice-president; Craig Smith, secretary; Lynn Carlen, publicity chairman, Georgia Ashcraft program pro-gram chairman; Howard Beardall, co-chairman. Others in . attendance included Michale Bartholomew, Ann Roy-lance, Roy-lance, Judy Lloyd, Jeanine Holley, Patricia Booke, Ida Banner, Diane Law, Audrey Hall, Susan Strong, Nancy Strong, Karen Oldroyd, Jane Reese, Neill Thorn and Joan Johnson. After the officer election and main business of the meeting, several sev-eral members of the new club stayed stay-ed and played piano selections. |
