Show School Board Acts To Secure Gas for Schools Inability of school boards to obtain ob-tain natural gas for furnaces in new buildings or ' additions to buildings already using natural gas, has become a problem, A. Parley Bates, superintendent of Weber County School District, said this week. As a result, the Weber County Board of Education has adopted a resolution asking the Utah Public Pub-lic Service Commission to authorize author-ize distributors of natural gas to furnish it to boards of education for heating of new buildings. "Our not being able to get gas for use in our new buildings is becoming quite disturbing," said Mr. Bates. The problem, he added, also will be presented to the State School Boards Association to see if this organization can lend some aid in getting the present order rescinded. |
