Show Impulse Buying Impulse buying an unplanned purchase of items not urgently needed accounts for nearly one-fifth one-fifth of all purchases of clothing, furniture, appliances, automobiles and homes, according to a study of consumer buying habits by the University of Illinois. The study revealed that three of five purchases pur-chases are made because they cannot can-not be postponed. Of these "necessary" "neces-sary" evpenditures, about one in three usually for clothing or automobile auto-mobile accessories such as tires has caught the purchaser by surprise. |
