Show I JURY AWARDS $2,14(1.00 FOR j DEATH OF GARTH LARSEN ! Judgment of $2,146 was awarded 1 to George Larsen last week at Salt Lake for the death of his two and a half year old son, Garth. Suit was brought against Walker Bros. Dry Goods company to recover $15,000, but a jury before Judge Mathison gave a verdict for only $2,146. Garth, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. George Larsen, was instantly killed September 23rd last, while riding rid-ing on the elevator in the Walker Bros, store. Garth was with his mother and in going up in some manner, which eye witnesses could j not explain, the little boy was i caught and his head was badly ! crushed, causing instant death. The case occupied three days and ,, many witnesses were heard. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Larsen, Lar-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larsen, Kimball Larsen, Joe Blixt and Austin Aus-tin Larsen, of this city, were witnesses wit-nesses at the trial. ! |
