Show School Students In Charming Operetta "Windmills of Holland" is the title of a pleasing and entertaining two-act two-act operetta that will be presented by the pupils of the public schools at the Casino tomorrow, Friday, ' night. The play is being directed by Miss Ida Johnson and it is indicated indi-cated that a rare treat is in store fotr lovers of this character of music and acting. The students are applying every effort and will be prepared to give the public a good treat. The ca3t comprises eight princi-pals princi-pals and there will be a chorus of fifty voices. Special costumes will be used fciri the entire group, anl as the setting will depict Holland, all features will be typical of the Dutch country. Briefly the plot involves the attempts at-tempts of an American salesman to exchange the modem American electrical elec-trical appliances for the quaint old windmills of Holland. Naturally the American salesman falls in love with the leading lady and the incidents leading up to the courtship and the acting of all brings the show to an end "just as you like it." The principals appearing in the show will be Uhlan Swalberg, Beu-lah Beu-lah Metcalf, Johnnie Sorenson, Gladys Green, Rosie Johnson, Leon Michaclson, Movie Rasmusscn and Evelyn Mortensen. The chorus will -comprise students from the various grades and the Washington school "kid land" -will furnish appropriate music- ..' '. A matinee will be given at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon and the main performance will start at eight in. tho evening. |
