Show Express Employees Hold Session Here Surrounding a banquet table lad-ened lad-ened with delicacies that would suffice suf-fice to delight the appetite of the most powerful and hungry king, ' twenty representatives of the Amer- j ican Railway Express company, to- j getiier with three invited guests, made merry at the W. IT. Gribble j home last Saturday evening. It is , doubtful if any similar event eclipsed that staged by the express employees and it will go down in history as one of the big events in this city. The occasion was the second meeting meet-ing of the express employees. A similar meeting was held at Price a few weeks ago, and due to the success suc-cess similar affairs are to be held throughout the state during the sum- j mer. The gatherings are called , "Right Way Meeting" and are at- j tended by employees from all de- j partments. Various topics are discussed dis-cussed pertaining to service, plans, j claims and other incidents attendant to the operations of the gigantic organization. or-ganization. During the banquet, which was served by Mrs. Gribble, E. H. Hite, route agent, acted as toastmaster and during the hour" of feasting many brief responses were given by those around the festal board. Griffith, special ; agent, "Potentalities;" Ira Oveifelt, "Former Experiences and Welfare of the Organization;" Roger Felt, local agent, "Welcome Address." i During the banquet an added fea- j ture was the solo and instrumental ; selections given by Misses Belva j Sorenson and Alda Metcalf, both of-; whom were warmly applauded. At ; the conclusion of the dinner Mrs. Gribble was given a hearty ovation and a unanimous vote of thanks. The real business session was held at the offices of the Gunnison Valley bank when the crowd gathered for further discussion and to complete I the affair with a round table talk, j Every member of the American !
