Show Seconb Marb By MRS. BETH FISHER Preparations are being made for the Green and Gold Ball, which is to be held in the recreation recre-ation hall next Tuesday evening, Feb. 26th. Dancing will commence com-mence at 9 p. m. At 10:30 there will be a special floor show and girls of the Junior Gleaner class will be honored. The Hilltop-pers Hilltop-pers will furnish the 'music. Everyone of Mutual age is invited in-vited to come out and enjoy this colorful annual affair. The following girls were set apart last Monday afternoon by the bishopric to assist the regular regu-lar teachers with their classes in Primary: Patricia Wilcock, Darma and Deon Lofthouse, Jennie Sue Smith, Dorothy Vestal, Ves-tal, Dawna Galloway, Joan and Sally Jones, Emil Lue Carter, Patsy James and Yvonne Myers. Others set apart the same day were Grace Banks, Myrtle Hansen, Han-sen, Margaret Sears and Margaret Mar-garet Puffer. Two other new teachers, Vilate Lang and Velma Patterson, had prveiously been set apart on Jan. 27. The bishoprics of both wards met conjointly in a bishop's meeting last Monday evening after Priesthood meeting to discuss dis-cuss matters of mutual concern. The Milford Second Ward was well represented at Stake Conference Con-ference in Beaver last Sunday. A large number of people from here made the trip and thus .helped bring Sunday morning's total attendance to 920. Music thruout the conference was furnished fur-nished by about 100 young people peo-ple of the stake who formed a Youth Chorus. They were under un-der the direction of Aaron Hansen, Han-sen, assisted by Jeanette Stoker. Other Second Ward members taking part in the conference were Calvin Bartholomew of the bishopric, who spoke in the morning session, and Harold Edwards and George C. . Goodwin, Good-win, who offered prayers. Speaking in sacrament meeting meet-ing on Feb. 17 were Helen Gillins Gil-lins and Farrell Lish. Their talks were built around the theme of the home and stressed the importance of parents teaching teach-ing the Gospel to their children. |
