Show BYU ATOM EXHIBIT TO EXPLAIN NUCLEAR SCIENCE IN EVERY-DAY LANGUAGE An inside look, at the much-publicized atom willtbe in the offering for Utahns on Feb. 26-27,. when the nation's most complete com-plete atomic energy exhibit comes to the campus of the Brigham Young University. Sponsored by the Extension Division and the College of Arts and Sciences of B Y U, the nation-touring show will be at the Provo school for two days, and will be exhibited J. S. Ballroom. The display will be free to the public and many groups of students from around the state will be making mak-ing special trips to Provo to take in the show. Broken down into understandable under-standable terms thru simple anogies, the display attempts to give the average person a general understanding of the workings and possibilities of the atom. "Dagwood Splits the Atom" is one section that is presented in comic strip style for the younger set who need a more digestible view. The complex subject will be tackled thru the aid of films, slides, and lectures with everything every-thing aimed at simplification for a good general understanding. understand-ing. Eight specially trained lecturers from the University will be on hand to help explain the various sections. The exhibits will be brought to Utah in a large moving van fitted especially to haul the show, and a capacity crowd is expected for each of the two days the exhibit will remain in I Provo. |
