Show U OF U CONCERT BAND TO FEATURE FORMER BANDIT TRUMPET PLAYER The 85-member University of Utah concert band will present pre-sent its annual winter concert, featuring Rafael Mendez as guest soloist, Feb. 21 at 8:15 in Kingsbury Hall, Salt Lake City. Under the direction of Ronald D. Gregory, the band will present a program pro-gram of music written and arranged especially for concert, in- ! eluding Handel's Water Music ( Suite an Frank Skinner's mu-j mu-j sical score from the motion picture pic-ture "Tap Roots." Mr. Mendez, formerly a member of the famous Pancho Villa band in his native Mexico, Mex-ico, has achieved eminence as a symphony trumpeter.
