Show JEWS NOTES FROM GREENVILLE By MRS. GEO. A. HORTON Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Davis and family were in Greenville Tuesday en route to their home in Provo from Las Vegas, where they had been called on acocunt of the illness of Mr. Davis' mother, Mrs. Alice Davis, a former for-mer resident of Greenville. Mrs. Violet Blackett of Orem and Mrs. Nell Parkinson of Pin-tura Pin-tura are here caring for their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Morris, who have been ill. Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Williams and son David were in Cedar City Thursday and again on Tuesday. LeRoy Gene Barton, who was home for a few days en route from Camp Carson to Fort Ord, left Wednesday for his new station. sta-tion. Elwin Marquardson left Wednesday Wed-nesday night for duties with the U S Army at Fort Ord. j Mrs. Lawrence Thompson, who has been visiting her daughter daugh-ter in Los Angeles, returned home last week. , Miss Mary Ann McKee and Cullen Williams were married Feb. 15th at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Packard, in Beaver. A reception honoring the young couple was held the same evening eve-ning in the amusement hall of the First-Third Ward chapel. A large crowd of friends gathered to wish them well. Many out of town visitors were in evidence. Mrs. Vernon Davis and daughters daugh-ters Diane and Mary Ann of Provo are visiting this week with Mrs. Emma Williams and Alice Heslington. j MIA meeting was held Tues- day evening at the home of Mr. I and Mrs. Blaine Blackett. Mrs. Julia Griffiths will hold "open house" at her home in Greenville from 2 to 5 p. m. on March 2nd, in observance of her 77th birth anniversary. |
