Show ! TIGERS LOSE TO i FILLMORE,; MEET j DELTA HERE FRIDAY ' Next Saturday evening, Feb. 23, the Tigers meet Delta in the final home game of the season. They wind up their schedule at Parowan on Friday- of the following fol-lowing week, and unless they puil a surprise upset it will be a 10 loss-no win season. . But altho the Tigers haven't won a ball game all year, there hasn't been a game they played that was "uninteresting. From the opening buzzer until the final ball was arched toward the basket, the young inexperienced squad has battled all the way. In next weeks issue, to be edited by the High School Journalism Jour-nalism class, The News will feature fea-ture thumb-nail sketches of each player, as well as catch up on the box scores. Wednesday evening of this week the Tigers dropped a 33-49 decision to Fillmore, played at Fillmore. Kinross led the Tiger scoring with 10 counters, and I Rowley was runner-up wiht 6. Mellville had 16 for the winners, win-ners, followed by Vance Wilson's youngster with 12. ! |
