Show Chamber bags Christmas Catalog; Restaurant Guide still upcoming Can area retailers be frugal? Just ask the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce Convention Conven-tion & Visitors Bureau. They had planned to put together a Christmas Catalog showcasing show-casing area shops, but the plan has been scrapped because not enough local merchants were interested in advertising in the catalog. But don't call the restaurateurs restau-rateurs frugal. The Chamber's Cham-ber's Restaurant Guide is still moving ahead, and should be out by Christmas. Tina Lewis of the Chamber Cham-ber said a lot of people had been interested in the Christmas Christ-mas Catalog, but just not enough to make it economically economi-cally feasible. "Maybe we're not ready for it yet," she said. "We'll give it a try again next year." But Park City is ready for the restaurant guide. Lewis said it will be approximately 48 pages long. The guide is a product of the Restaurant Committee of the Chamber. The guide will be filled with the menus of 35 to 40 area restaurants, said Lewis. Most all area establishments estab-lishments are taking part in the production, she said. Twenty five thousand copies will be printed and distributed distribut-ed free in various locations around town. In addition to the menus, Lewis said the guide will list the hours and the locations of the restaurants. There will also be a listing of the private clubs, the liquor laws, a map of town, and some other general information. informa-tion. The costs of the restaurant guide will be split up by the participating restaurants. American Express is also a sponsor. |
