Show Area theaters to show Warren Miller films As a Thanksgiving treat for local sports enthusiasts, the Warren Miller Sports Film Festival will be running run-ning at two area theatres this weekend. At the Egyptian Theatre, Miller's newest feature-length feature-length film, "Ski Time," will run for five shows Thursday through Saturday. At the Prospector Square Theatre, an array of sports shorts will run once daily on the same dates. "Ski Time," filmed by Miller last winter, involved hundreds of skiers in exotic locations from Tasman Glacier Gla-cier in New Zealand to Les Arcs in France, from helicopter heli-copter skiers in Canada to cliff jumpers at Squaw Valley. This footage is combined with Miller's amusing narration. "Ski Time" is scheduled to play at the Egyptian Thursday Thurs-day at 8 p.m., Friday at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., and Saturday at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Meanwhile, at Prospector Square, sports fans are invited to watch a collection of shorts ranging from sports bloopers to windsurfing windsurf-ing to skiing. Shows will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday Satur-day at 8 p.m. For more information, call the Egyptian at 649-9371 or Prospector Square at 649-7100. |
