The Utah committee consists of prominent citizens In each county, who are requested ,' to arrange for fitting celebrations of tho slKhlne of the Treaty of Ghent. , Tho letter helnc: sent out to the com-i com-i mlitee members ami tho members of the T'lah Stat" Peaco society, advises that tile first celebration be May 17, tho anntinl j commemoration of the anniversary of the first Ilairuo peaco congress. It Is then suggested thnt on December 21 of this year, meetings be held In every community of the stale to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the sign-ins sign-ins of the Treaty of Ghent The governor suggests that a fund be raised by the committee, especially among the school children, for the purchase of a suitable memorial of the event to be placed in ! the Utah state capltol as a witness of the i appreciation of the people of Utah of the ' cordial relations existing between tho English-speaking people.
