Show CITY OF BOUNTIFUL IS OUT FOR PRIZE Residents Expect to Win the Drinking Fountain in tho Cleanest-town Contest. At a mass meeting held in tho Bountiful city council chamber last night plans wero outlined by the resi-donts resi-donts whereby thoy expect to win the lVib!ICr,dnu.k,nK fountain oTfcrcd by the Utah Development league for the cleanest clean-est town in the stH,te, of that class. A committee of about twenty persons, per-sons, with Dr. O. W. Hichards.as chair-man, chair-man, was chosen to carry out the plans, and May 0 was named as the ofhciaf clean-up day. The town was dividod into districts aud a committee appointed ap-pointed lu supervise the work in each district. Members of the committees will visit each faniilv in thoir respective re-spective districts and ask ;i operate in tho campaign. In order to tako caro of tho widows aud the aged, the school children will be divided into groups and assigned to certain districts on clean-up day. As a special" inducement; the general committee will offer a dozen or more prizes tor the best, lawn, the best flower garden, tho best-kept walks and tho best-kept back yards. In addition to the special prizes a rose tree will be presented to each family thai, observes the wishes of the committeo by cleaning clean-ing up its home on May 0, It is expected ex-pected that fully 500 rose trees will be given away. |
