Show December Marriage !s Just Made Public John A. Nelson, better known to his intimates in Gunnison as just plain "Jack," is strong on keeping secrets. This was proven this week when his mother, Mrs. Nina Nelson, announced the marriage of her son to Miss Vola Matthews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Matthews of St. Anthony, Ida. Thf marriage took place away last December 24 . at Knoxville, Tennessee. Parents of the bride, who were visit'ng in the eastern east-ern central states, were present at the ceremony. Immediately after the marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson left for Florida, where they enjoyed an extended honeymoon trip. Mr. Nelson, a native of Gunnison, will bo remembered by many here. After completing his work at the high school, he took a business course at Salt Lake. He then entered the f ' r ' 1 service,' serving efficiently at a clerk. About a year ago he was promoted and sent to Knoxville, where he is now serving as chief clerk in the forest department there. Mrs. Nelson, bom in the south, had been a resident of St. Anthony for many years, and it was in the Idaho city that the young couple met and the marriage troth sealed. Mrs. Nelson Nel-son is an accomplished woman and while in Idaho was a leader in the younger social set. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nel-son are making the:r home at present pres-ent at Knoxville, Tenn. If Jack is as prosperous as he is in keeping secrets, sec-rets, then all his friends will wish h:m well. i |
