Peterson was do'ng time for destroying de-stroying property. He admitted he destroyed a highly valued tree in the rear of the C. W. & M. store, and when taken before J. E. Drapier, who was arrested a couple cou-ple of weeks ago for disturbing the peace and quietude of the citizens near the high school building, was given a trial. He was fined $1 and costs, the latter bringing the total to $16. He refused to pay the fine and court costs, preferring to serve sixteen days in durance vile. |
