Show ice Cash Prizes Are Offered to Junior Beet Growers In order to assimilate interest among the boys and girls of school age in their district, The Gunnison Sugar Company is announcing the prizes that will be given to the jun-Tgi. jun-Tgi. ior beet growers this season. This will be done in cooperation with the extension division of the State Agricultural Ag-ricultural College and the Local County Agent. Cash prizes in the amounts of $20.00. $15.00, $10.00, and $5.00, respectively, re-spectively, for first, second, third and fourth greatest tonnage of beets produced per acre by these boys and girls who enter the contest con-test The following rules will apply: leep. The entrant must be under 18 years of age. The acreage may be one acre oi more, but not less than one full acre. Woo! The contract is to be signed di- j. rectly with the boy or girl and the " beets delivered in his or her name. ' The land will be measured by the County Agent together with the company fieldman. Close observation will be made as to the methods used by the entrants en-trants and the Gunnison Sugac Company believes that it will hi a distinct advantage to the industry to stimulate and maintain interest among the farm boys and girls in growing of sugar beets. |
