Born to Mr. and Mrs. Karl Carver Car-ver on February 16th, a boy. The Lincoln Day celebration sponsored by the Lions club proved to be a huge success. The banquet was served at 7:30 p. m. and the; following program was rendered: solo, "When Good Fellows Get To-gfther," To-gfther," W. K. Seager; short talk, Lion J. L. ielson; solo. "Out of the Dusk," Mrs. Jos. R. Christtianr.en: reading. "The Perfect Tribute," by Mrs. W. K. Seager; clarinet solo, son: the club members sang, "Say it With a Smile," "We Are Lions," "Ginger Ale," and "Lions Forever," j v.'ith Urban Madsen as cnoristo I and Lyda Guymon as accompanist. The remainder of the evening ws spent in dancing. Music was fur-! nished by Paradise Gardens orchestra. orch-estra. John E. Christiansen left Thursday, Thurs-day, February 20th for Salt Lake City to undergo an operation for goitre. Miss Reah Anderson who is employed em-ployed at Eureka, spent a few days this week with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Anderson. Eva Madsen visited relatives and friends this week in Fountain Green. She has been working at Nephi foi some time. Evelyn Augason has just returned return-ed from Ephraim where she visited a few days with Mrs. Kenneth Reid. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allred are j spending a few days at Centerfield, ; Utah, visiting their children. j The following people from Foun 1 tain Green attended the funeral services of W. E. Watson at Mount Pleasant on February 18th: President Presi-dent Abe Livingston, Mrs. J. L. Nielson, Laura and Eva Llewellyn, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Ivory, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Nielson, Hildda Christiansen Chris-tiansen and Lyda Guymon. Born to Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Jensen Jen-sen on February 18th, a girl. Mr. George W. Huggins is recovering recov-ering from injuries suffered in an accident on February 8th. |
