Show MARKETING FARM PRODUCTS EASIER Co-Operative Principle Seen as Solution of Problem. Co-oporative marketing of farm and ranch products was viewed as the ultimate solution of the chief problems of distribution now facing fac-ing American agriculture by Cecil W. Creel, director ot the Nevada agricultural extension service, in an address before the Western Cattle Marketing association assembled in San Francisco. "The passage of the agricultural agricul-tural marketing act of last summer, the subsequent creation of the federal fed-eral farm board, and the setting up by tills board of national producer-owned and producer con-troled con-troled marketing associations is sufficient suf-ficient evidence, I believe," Creel stated, "that the co-operative marketing mar-keting principle not only is justified, justi-fied, but now has the support of intelligent in-telligent public opinion throughout the length and breadth of the land." Pledging assistance to the federal fed-eral farm board In Its program of organizing national co-operative agencies, the Nevada director stated, means that the co-operative movement will have the aid of county farm advisers and other extension ex-tension workers in the vaiious states. Creel, who is chairman of ""he range live stock committee of the extension workers In the 12 western west-ern states, told the cattlemen what the extension service is doing to help the stock-raising industry Credit, In part, he said, for the study of public lands In the western states about to be inaugurated by the commission recently appointed by President Herbert Hoover is due extension workers In the West.
