Show FEDERAL ATTORNEY BACK FROM EAST United States Attorney W. TV, Ray returned re-turned home yesterday rom a business trip to Washington, all aglow with enthusiasm en-thusiasm over the outlook for the success of the national Democratic ticket. In fact, Mr. Ray declared that he was unable ', to see anything but Wilsun getting under i the wire first on November 7. "On my way home," said Mr. Ray, "I visited Democratic headquarters in Chicago Chi-cago and talked with those In charge. I found them all to be sanguine of a sweeping victory throughout the country. "I am just a little bit surprised at one thing, however. The Associated Press is sending out information to the effect that Charles E. Hughes is being greeted by immense crowds In Nebraska. Now, I happened to see the crowd that greeted Mr. Hughes at Columbus, Neb. I could have put the entire gathering on mv front porch, without crowding it, and it is not such a big porch, either." Mr. Raj- went to Washington in connection connec-tion with what is known as the Utah power cases before the supreme court of the United States. The cases were argued ar-gued and submitted. |
