Show DEMOCRATS HEARD IN PROVO MEETING Special lo The Tribune. PROVO. Oct. 17. James H. Moyie and S. R. Thurman addressed a Democrat lira li-ra My in the opera house here tonight, held under the auspices of the Wood row Wilson duo. The opera house was filled, to its rapacity and the greatest, enthusiasm enthusi-asm prevailed throughout the meeting. Mr. Thin-mar. was the first apeaker. He reviewed the work of the Democratic administration ad-ministration during the past three years and compared if with the work of Republican Re-publican administrations, declaring that the legislation enacted by the Democrats was beneficial to the masses, while that enacted by the Republicans was of benefit bene-fit only to the large interests. Mr. Movie declared that the campaign of 191li would test the patriotism of American people. Utah, he said, would give its electoral vote to Wilson without with-out question, but Insisted that the state would not do its full duty unless it elected elect-ed Democratic representatives and a Democratic Dem-ocratic senator to support the president in the wor that he has begun. Mr. Moyte also paid high tribute to Simon Si-mon Bamberger, Democratic nominee for governor. He asserted that as soon as Mr. Bamberger became convinced that the people of Utah wanted prohibition lie canceled the liquor concession at Da-goon Da-goon at a considerable loss and proceeded to make the resort as "dry" as any section sec-tion of the state. |
