Show Guests of Miss Scudder. To the winning manner and gracious hospitality of Miss N. Scudder, the Sacred Heart Alumnae association owes the pleasant entertainment of last Saturday afternoon. There was a goodly number present, and the prize given to the most fortunate fortu-nate in the instructive guessing game, "A Gilbert Girl," was won by Miss G. Hillard, a guest of the afternoon. The reading course for the ensuing year was not fully decided upon, but at the next meeting the members of the association will bring all obtainable obtain-able information on "The Monroe Doctrine" Doc-trine" when it will be discussed and reviewed. This suggestion, that of the president Miss Nellie Maguire, will, no doubt, prove not only a profitable study, but also a pleasing pastime at the meeting on Saturday, Jan. 17. E. C.
