John 0'Rourkeof the Red Boot & Shoe company left Saturday for a short visit with relativesat Hanford, Cal. Count Richard Kleesattel of Germany passed through Butte Saturday on his wav to Chihuahua, Mexico, where he will inspect some mining properties. The count has been In Montana for about a year, and has been in Neihart most of the time. William R. Faulkner and I Miss Jennie Doyle were married at St. i atncK s church last week, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. I ather De Slerie. The bride was assisted by Miss Etta Dalton and the groom by Mr. Barthly Foley. Misses Mae and Kit Sullivan entertained enter-tained a few friends informally on Saturday Sat-urday evening at a .chafing dish supper, sup-per, in honor of Mrs. C. E. Morris of Pony, who will leave in a few days for New- York, to remain a month or two. Those who enjoyed the evening were: Mrs. Morris, Miss Clarke, Miss Mollie Walker, Miss Dawson, Mr. Harry Cotter Cot-ter of Denver, Mr. Sellers Largey, Mr. George Wesley Davis, Mr. Lloyd Gage and Mr. Thomas Walker. Mrs. C. A. O'Brien of West Broadway-left Broadway-left recently for an extended visit to the southj Mrs. J. L. Carroll -was the hostess for the Wednesday Euchre club, which met at her home this week. Mrs. Frank Glasser won the first prize, one-half dozen soup plates, while the second, a sugar and creamer, was carried away by Mrs. A. Anderson. In attendance were: Mrs. T. J. Atwater to the position of secretary of the company at Denver. Chairman W. DTciark of the board of county commissioners is in Helena attending at-tending the meeting of the commissioners commission-ers of the state. O. W. McConnell, who served two terms as county attorney for Lewis an.l Clarke county, arrived from the capital cap-ital Monday night and registered at the Thornton. Hon.
