Show Hew Playhouse Officers Are Chosen for Year New officers and board members mem-bers for the Springville Playhouse were announced this week following follow-ing elections during the past week. Dee Sanford has been elected president with Elmina Madsen as vice-president, Melva Smith, secretary sec-retary and Merle Schreiner, treasurer. treas-urer. Retiring officers include: wooorow weigni, presiuem.; iviene Schreiner, vice-president; Elmina Madsen, secretary; Beth Miller, treasurer. The new officers were elected at a regular meeting last Wednesday night. Besides election of new officers, four new board members were seated for the coming two-year term. These include Melva Smith, Afton Palfreyman, Bill Pratt and Elmina Madsen, incumbent. The year's program was planned and other committees set up. Merle Schreiner was retained as play-reading play-reading chairman with Afton Palfreyman Pal-freyman and Bill Pratt named as assistants. The Playhouse will offer of-fer agin this year three productions, produc-tions, Fall, winter and summer plays on a membership basis. Anyone Any-one may join the enrollment by obtaining a membership which entitles en-titles the purchaser to admittance to the plays at a considerable savings. The plays are produced for the community to help foster better appreciation and further the theatrical talents and interests here. Woodrow Weight was named to direct the fall production, which will open the 1952-53 season. |
