Show Blood Mobile Collects 100 Pints In Springville A good response was reported to the blood mobile mo-bile which visited Springville last Wednesday and the Central Council PTA received the thanks of those in charge and in turn thanks all those who contributed. Approximately 100 pints were given . and there were a number who could not contribute although they made an effort. Some were refered to their family physician, following an examination which revealed re-vealed they were not able to give blood. Several interesting sidelights in connection with the visit of. the blood mobile, was reported by the PTA officers in charge. It was noted no-ted that Mrs. Marjorie Shipp, who lost a son in Korea, was among the patriotic individuals who responded re-sponded to the call for blood which may go to save the life of some soldier on the battlefield. Some of the blood will be used whole in hospitals while some will be made into plasma for use in Korea. Also a large group of young mothers desiring to do their bit responded in a group to the call for blood contributors. The Modern Mothers, true to their name were present and helped boost Spring-ville's Spring-ville's quota. j Tha project in Springville was reported successful and it is hoped that more will respond to the call when the Blood Mobile makes another an-other call. |
