Show Senator Watkins Addresses GUV Meeting Tuesday Meetings of the Central Utah Project Committee and the Board of Directors of Greater Utah Valley, Val-ley, Inc., were held at the county commisisoners' offfices Tuesday evening. President Henry Roberts, presided at each. Senator Watkins, with his aides from Washington, D.C., attended and spoke on reclamation. The Senator reviewed the fight it was necessary to put up in the Senate to get approval of the Weber Basin Ba-sin Project and used this to show how necessary lit is that we keep the fight for the Central Utah Pro-' ject before Congress and the people. peo-ple. He said that, even if this project pro-ject is approved in the early session ses-sion of Congress, that he fears it will be at least six to eight years before work can be begun on it due to many preliminaries that have to be worked out; and that if not immediately approved, it will be several more years before the project gets underway. He promised that, if reelected, he would have a bill ready to reintroduce re-introduce this project immediately upon the convening Congress.
