Schuler of Los Angeles,' new owner of the Milford hotel, had assumed the management of the property. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bard had ; announced the arrival of a baby boy, born July 16. Mrs. Merrill Miller, a bride of June, had been the guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower, given by Miss Juanita Miller, sister of the groom, at the Miller home. Assisting the serving were Mrs. W. A. Miller, Mrs. Itha Kinney and Miss Irene Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Hanks and daughter had left for their home in southern California. They went by way of Ely, making the trip leisurely, stopping at Lake Tahoe and other points of interest. There was a SI, 000 purse up for the Dern-Castle wrestling bout scheduled to be fought July 19 in Milford. A shower had been given at the home of Mrs. Jack Langenbacker in honor of Miss Ruth Sterling, a bride-tobe. Miss Lila Stanley had entertain-j entertain-j ed at the Stanley home in South Milford in honor of a visiting I guest. Those present were Mrs. Jacob Weber and daughters, Ina and Verna, of Lso Angees, California; Cali-fornia; Mrs. Dwight Christopher- son of Oakland, California; Miss Thelma and Miss Vida Fineham of P.lue Ranids, Kansas; Mrs. Walter Cook, Miss Mar-ret Cates, Miss Gladys Gospill and Mrs. V. F. Stanley, all of South Milford; Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. Jack McKeon, Mrs. G. M. Moore, Mrs. ' Ralph Quayle, Miss Ardath Johnson and Miss LaPriell Clements, all of Milford; Mil-ford; and the guest of honor, Miss Leona Krumperman. I A delightful party had been given at the home of Miss Ruth Elmer.
