Show New Girls' Dormitory Will Be Ready Soon The new $40,000 women's dormi-S tory of the Branch Agricultural j college at Cedar City will be com-' pleted and ready for occupation by the time school begins in September, Septem-ber, according to the contractor, j Moroni Perry of Cedar City. Built to accomodate 48 girls and a matron, mat-ron, the new building is composed of 12 3-room apartments, consisting consist-ing of a kitchen, a study room, and a bedrocm. According to Director Henry Oberhansley of the college, it will serve a need long felt in Cedar City where the housing shortage has been acute. The cost to students will be extremely low, j each girl in the dormitory being j asked to furnish her own blankets, J bed-spread, sheets, bath and kitch-! en towels, and dishes. Located on the south end of the campus, most of the rooms will afford a pleasant view of the lawn and trees to the north. A spacious lobby will afford space for the girls to entertain friends. The building was made possible by a P W A grant. |
