Show Mr. an J Mr-. Lee Gray and son motored to Punguitch lake for a few days stay and caught some fine fish. Mrs. II :'o-jrt Ferguson entertained entertain-ed the World Service Missionary society at her home last Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. R. H. Snyder and daughters, daugh-ters, Merle and Maxine, of Huntington Hunt-ington Park, California, are visiting visit-ing at the homes of Mrs. W. W. Cook and Mrs. R. F. Cottrell. The L. D. S. recreation hall was the scene Tuesday night of a jolly reception for Miss Renee Simth, who returned recently from two years work in the L. D. S. eastern states mission. Mrs. J. V. Rocheck and son Dickie of Salt Lake arrived in Mil-ford Mil-ford Monday for a visit at the home of Mrs. Rocheck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Fotheringham, and also wTth other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Horton and daughter Dorothy returned from Fish lake last week-end, enroute to Los Angeles. They were accompanied accom-panied by J. F. Tribole to Las Vegas. Mrs. Horton is a sister of J. F. Tribole and George Moore. Miss Patsy Leech accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heslington and i children over to Beaver Tuesday, where Miss Patsy will visit at their home a week or ten days. Marjean Heslington has spent the past several days as a guest of her cousin, Miss Patsy. Miss Lucie Estes, deaconess of the local M. K. church, is having her vacation during the month of July. She will visit with her sister sis-ter in Oakland, California, and her mother in Weaverville, California. Miss Estes also expects to attend the World's fair in San Francisco. During her absence there will be no services at the M. E. church. Mrs. Gene Kirk was hostess to her bridge club and guests last Friday night. Those present were Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. Thomas Gerrard, Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson, Mrs. D. S. Williams, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Mrs. William Cochrane and Mrs. E. L. Smith. Mrs. Nielsen won the club prize, Mrs. Cochrane the house prize, Mrs. Gerrard the guest prize and Mrs. Hughes the consolation prize. Mrs. Macel Horton entertained the Lady Trainmen Tuesday evening eve-ning at her home. Bridge was the pastime of the evening with Mrs. Geneve Price winning high points prize, Mrs. Theresa Pitchforth high honors prize, and Mrs. Eva Stonehocker the traveling and consolation prizes. Others present were Mrs. Myrtle Mills, Mrs. Lena Morris, Mrs. Belverine Palmer, Mrs. Elma Voorhees, Mrs. Vella Browner, Mrs. Laura Fotheringham, Fothering-ham, Mrs. Ruby James, Mrs. Mar-cille Mar-cille Post and Mrs. Saraessa Baker. M Leland Gray spent last week in Caliente, visiting with Mary Roper, Ro-per, formerly of Milford. Mrs. Z. C. Landes, former resident resi-dent of Milford, and Miss Evelyn Adams of San Diego, California, are house guests of Mrs. T. W. Campbell, while visiting here with friends. Mrs. W. F. Cottrell left last week for Portland, Oregon, to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. H. A Degel, who passed away at a convalescent home following an iteration for cancer. Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Glenn and young son, Douglas E., arrived Tuesday from Winnemucca, Nevada, Ne-vada, for a visit with Mr. Glenn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Glenn. At the present time they are spending a few days at Puffer's Puf-fer's lake. |
