The above formula was arrived ar-rived at by the Tax Foundation, Founda-tion, after months of careful computations. Thus, a person whose income tax deductions is $15 a week, pays another $18 weekly in various other federal taxes, bringing the total tax assessment assess-ment to $33 weekly. Though some of the taxes, such as Social Security, can be seen, the majority of the others are hidden having been added to the manufactur ers' prices on a wide variety of goods, but not shown as separate items in the final purchase. |
