Show THIRD DISTRICT COURT Mr Tc aisdel WInlA Heavy Damage Bnlt on Trial The sealed verdict returned on Thursday Thurs-day night in the case of S P Teasdel vs E H Parsons et aL was opened In Judge Zanes court yesterday morning The plaintiff sued to recover stock of goods alleged al-leged to have been Illegally slezed by the marshal and for damages The Jury found for Mr Teasdel fixing the value of the goods at 53400 and assessing his damages at tOO Toil THE DEFEKDAXT In the case of E E Rich et aL vo H N Winters ot al in which the plaintiff sued to recover some 870 the Jury returned a verdict for the defendants A HEAVY DAMAGE SUIT In the afternoon the case of George Everett vs the Oregon Short Line Utah Northern came up for trial Barlow Ferguson and John M Cannon appearing for the plaintiff and Williams VanCott for tho defendant Everett claims that while ho was journeying on a train of the defendant from Ogden to this city on November No-vember 1 190 a collision occurred on the road near North Salt Lake through the carelessness of the defendant and in it his arm was broken and he received internal I injuries which havo caused him treat pain I and suffering and permanently incapacitated incapaci-tated him from doing any work whatever to his damage in the sum of 10000 for which amount he asks judgment The defendant entered a general denial all of these allegations ana the trial was in progress when tho court adjourned |
