Show AT THE SYNAGOGUE The Grand Choir Benders Another of its Beautiful Programmes The Jewish synagogue was fairly well filled last night to hear Rabbi Jacobson and he music The rabbi is always acceptable to his flock and the musio is ever improving improv-ing Miss Lincoln now has charge of the choir and under her tutelage it shows marked improvement Sweoter strains than HdclilTo draws from the organ or than fall from the lips of Miss Lincoln and Mrs Allison one would have to go a long way to hear while vleasrB Burleigh and Goddard are always in good tone One of the sweetest selections ever rendered ren-dered by this splendid choir was given last night The first was a trio from The Creation sung by Miss Lincoln Mr Bur leigh and Mr Goddard The air is as sweet and plaintive as a love song and the voices blended In rare harmony Miss Lin colns pure soprano filling all the church with its rich sweetness This was followed by a quartette to which was added the contralto of Mrs Tl panln Tlnan Alliann Thn oolnptlnn Tima Remember Me O Lord n Mr Burleigh then sang the solo hI With all Your Hearts from Elijah He sang it with his usual good taste and I failed to receive an encore only because in Rabbi church Jacobson doesnt allow such things |
