Show Stacie D. Winters and James Kenneth Gray Winters and Gray to marry at Remember the Maine Stacie Dawn Winters and James Kenneth Gray, both of Vernal, have chosen Saturday, Sept. 3 to be married mar-ried at Remember the Maine park in Dry Fork Canyon. They will be honored at a reception immediately following the wedding from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., also at the park. Stacie, the daughter of Dick and Kathy Winters of Grand Junction, Colo., is a 1989 Uintah High School graduate. She attended UBATC and received her certificate as a nurse's aid. She is currently working for Dr. Lynn Nelson in Vernal. James is the son of Floyd and Wilma Gray. He is a 1986 Uintah High School graduate and is currently cur-rently employed by NATCO in Vernal. In honor of this event, a picnic will be held at Constitution Park in Roosevelt on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Emily is a 1993 graduate of Uintah High School and attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She is presently employed at the YMCA in Anchorage. Stephen graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1989 and served an LDS mission in Finland. He attended the University of Alaska and is currently employed at First National Bank in Anchorage. Immediately following their wedding, wed-ding, the ncwlywcds will make their home in Anchorage. Golden Age News Seniors invited to attend ageing conference by Ada Murray All Uintah County senior citizens arc invited to attend the Uintah County White House Conference on Aging at the Golden Age Center on Friday, Aug. 26, beginning at 10 a.m. The keynote speaker will be James G. Quasi, director of the Stale Division of Aging and Adult Services. Someone will be elected to represent this area at the Suite Conference on Aging. The Golden Age Center will sponsor a bus 10 the State Fair this year on Sqx. 12 and Sept. 13. The cost will be S32 and this includes motel and transportation. Manila FFA members named national finalists Manila FFA members, Erik Sams and Justin Archibald were named national finalists in the National FFA Organization's Proficiency Award Competitions. Sams is a finalist fi-nalist in the Turf and Landscape Management Proficiency area, and Archibald in Wildlife Management. Each will join the three other top candidates in the nation in their respective re-spective areas at the Naitonal FFA convention held in Kansas City, Mo. in November for final consideration. consid-eration. The national winner in each area receives a large cash award and will participate in the International Travel Seminar with the national winners of other proficiency areas. The Proficiency Award Competition is one of the most prestigious events sponsored by the IFA organization. Both Sams and Archibald arc active ac-tive members of the Manila FFA Chapter and earlier won the Utah State competitions in these areas.
