Show j Vernal Express Wednesday, ..-, 9' ''.1 FOOTBALL PLAYERS will have to forget the lazy days of summer and get ready for a tough Bear River bunch this Friday. Coach Clobber Lady Rabbits 6-0 Girl's soccer begins season with The Uintah girl's soccer team played their first match of the season sea-son last Friday at Delta, coming away with an easy 6-0 victory. The big question here is; can the team improve on an 8-4-1 season which included a tough semi-final loss in the state playoffs and region 10 championship? According to Coach Randy Shafcr, there's no doubt. "Wc have 5 All State players coming back and 23 returning seniors," se-niors," Shafcr said, "wc have to be considered one of the favorites in the 3A division along with Pincvicw and Dixie." Shafcr's returning All Staters include in-clude goalie Naoni Barker, sweeper Jennifer Murray, forward Melissa Busch along with Joncllc Shumway and Mindy Busch. The kids have been playing together for three yean now and have the offense down," Shafcr said, "now wc just have to go out and execute." If last Friday's game is any indication, indi-cation, the rest of the state might have a tiger by the tail. In what Shafcr categorized as an 'average' perfomuncc, the Lady Uie dominated domi-nated action from beginning to end against the outmanned Rabbit.
