Show Home Decoration Contest Gaining Interest Originality, simplicity, artistic and seasonal or festive are the points on which the Christmas lighting contest will- be judged, it was announced an-nounced today by the committee in charge. The contest is being sponsored spon-sored by the city recreational committee, com-mittee, those in charge being Mrs. William Chipman, Mrs. J. W. Myers, My-ers, Mrs. Delbert Chipman, Mrs. W. R. Halliday and Mrs. Leo Meredith. The many valuable prizes to be awarded for the contest will be on display in the window of the Utah Power & Light company by Monday Mon-day of next week. The judges to award the prizes will be from out of town and disinterested in who the entrants are as persons, giving their decisions on the rulings set by the judges. A few changes have been made since the first announcement last week as to the divisions of the con-' test, leaving but two sections, home interior and exterior. The rulings for each section are as follows: Interior: All lights and other fixtures used on the inside of the house for special Christmas decoration decor-ation that can foe CLEARLY VISIBLE VISI-BLE FROM .THE STREET. The judge will enter a home for the purpose of judging the contest. This group may include the ' adornment of the mantel, windows, piano, tree, or any other ideas you may have for the beautification of your home at this time. Exterior: , All decorations placed on the outside of the home for contest con-test purposes. This may include lights on the home and shrubs surrounding sur-rounding it, trees in front of tke home, or any other ideas you may have for exterior beautification for the Christmas season. Should you place decorations on the exterior of your home, also the interior you will enter the contest as exterior decoration.
