Show Local Items Mrs. James P. Hallsey spent Tuesday Tues-day in Salt Lake City visiting Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hallsey and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Neilsen. The lovely quilt given away at the First ward Jubilesta last Thursday evening went to Mrs. William Wright. The Senior Literary club ladies will entertain their husbands at a delightful Christmas party tonight (Friday) at the Bromley Club Rooms with Mrs. William Chipman as chairman. A delicious dinner will be served after which games will be enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Olsen of Cop-perton Cop-perton were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Olsen Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. Vern Houston spent Monday in Salt Lake City combining business and pleasure. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ashby and family were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mark A. Reynolds Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Jessen and daughters, Joan and Leila, Mrs. Fay Beebe and son of Kingston, were week-end guests at the home of Mrs. Jessen's father, John Jacklin. Mr. Jacklin left Sunday to visit for a week at the Jessen home in Kingston. Max Walton, who is employed in Salt Lake City with the Shell Oil Company, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wal-; Wal-; ton. DeVerl Nicholes arrived home Wednesday from Delta for an indefinite in-definite stay here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Nicholes Jr. Mr. Nicholes has been employed with the U. S. Survey for the past several months. Mrs. Melba Hindley was hostess to members of the H. B. Club at her home Saturday afternoon. The time was spent playing bridge with Mrs. Fae Briggs winning high score guest prize. Late in the afternoon after-noon a delicious lunch was served. Special guests were: Mesdames Norman Nor-man Wing, Ralph Ellison, Alton Storrs and Lloyd Tregaskis. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Robinson entertained at a turkey dinner at their home Sunday afternoon. Guests at the dinner were, Mr. and Mrs. West Jacobs of Pleasant Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Laudie of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Seastrand and Mrs. Jane Robinson of this city. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Shiner of Price, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. GoodaU Tuesday. Tues-day. The Sklners were enroute to Los Angeles for the holidays. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irving L. Pratt were, Solo-man Solo-man Angel and his daughter, Mrs. Nina Neff, a nephew, Mr. Harry Simpson, and Miss Lucille Gaisford all of Salt Lake City. Officers of the C. C. camp in Pleasant Grove entertained at a dancing party Wednesday evening at the Apollo hall in honor of the C. C. C. boys who leave soon for i their homes to enjoy the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Laurence Hutchlngs spent Wednesday In Salt Lake visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frances Hutchings. Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Hutchincs and Mrs. E. J. Thomas. I here visiting Ills parents. Mr. and Mrs. Leo T. Shelley, for an indefinite stay. Mr. Shelley is here to receive medical treatment at the Veteran's hospital In 6alt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Taylor at-tondtxl at-tondtxl a birthday ixu-ty and house worming1 at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Wlllard O. Olsen at Murray, Mur-ray, Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Tlmixson entertained a number of friends from Provo at their Home at iv supcr and social Sunday evening. The members of the Sorosls club will hold their Christmas party Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Warren Boley. It is the custom of the club members to exchange a gift at this occasion. The rooms will be decorated in keeping with the holiday holi-day season, a Christmas tree being the center of attraction. The committee com-mittee members in charge of this event arc, Mrs. Joseph Walton, Mrs. I John H. Miller, Mrs. Jarvls Ayde- I lotto and Mrs. C. T. Jones. Mrs. Thomas Blnns entertained members of the Neighborly Neighbors Neigh-bors club and a few special guests at her homo Friday afternoon. The time was spent playing games with Mrs. Ivy Steele winning the prize. Late in the afternoon Christmas gifts were exchanged by the twenty five members present, alter which a delicious chicken dinner was served. Special guests were, Mrs. Alice Carl-Isle, Carl-Isle, Mrs. Cora Whitby, Mrs. Krma Mc.IJanlel and Mrs. Barbara Boley. Mnis. Moral Steele Jr. entertained members of the Young Bridge Club and several special guests at Mrs. Kdward Abel's homo Friday afternoon. after-noon. The time was fipent playing : bridge, nfler which a tasty lunch ' was nerved. Special guests were: Mesdames Alton Storrs, Bernard Storrs, Harold Knmsay, I .c I toy Griffin, Grif-fin, Konald Sabey, Leo Nelson, Lloyd Tregaskis, Thomas Recce and Harvel Bennett. High wore prizes were won by Mrs. James Preston and Mrs. J.eo Nelson. Consolation award went a to Mm. Leon Parduhn.
