Show j Ten Years Ago Now The family of David Thorne entertained en-tertained Saturday, December 10th, in honor of his 77th birthday anniversary. anni-versary. Tire rooms were beautifully beautiful-ly decorated in Christmas colors. After a pleasant time spent in social chat and games, a picnic lunch was served. Ten Years Ago Now Our city fire department has answered twelve calls up-to-date for the year of 1927 and has successfully successful-ly kept the fire losses down to a minimum in the city. They have answered eight calls in the city and four in the county. In these days of the higher education educa-tion that is brought to our doors, young men need only to put forward extra efforts to earn funds to assist as-sist them in going to the top of the ladder in an educational way. Roy Fugal, familiarly known as "Happy" is selling the "Celebrated American All Electric Radio". All employees of the Utah Power & Light Co. enjoyed a musical program pro-gram and luncheon at the Elks Club at Provo Monday evening. Mr. Brown of the Ogden division was chief talker. . Mrs. Ethel Drysdale of our local office was in attendance. Miss Jewel Linebaugh read the play "Apple Sauce" to the Dramatic Art Mask club of the B. Y. TJ. Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. |
