Show TOQUERVILLE Mrs. Rowena W. Slack Mrs. Helen Denton Reporters Harry Slack returned Friday from Ogden where he had been called t to act as U. S. District juror. Mrs. Jay Adams and three children were visiting a few days with Mrs. Harry Slack, Mrs. Adams' mother. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Naegle expect ex-pect to be in their new home by Christmas. Mrs. Maude Spillsbury visited in town for a few days from Cedar City. Tuesday night the adults of the M. I. A. entertained at a hard time party. i Lunch, games and dancing were the main features of the program. Mrs. Jack Crosby of Cedar City entertained at a quilting last Thursday afternoon at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. R. Hig-bee. Hig-bee. Guests from out of town were: Mrs. Reah Wakeling and Mrs. Emily of Cedar City and Mrs. Williams of Kanarra. Wood row Stapley is home recuperating re-cuperating from a recent operation. oper-ation. George I. Beatty and his daughters. daugh-ters. Miss Sylvia Beatty and Mrs. D. Jackson and son are now living liv-ing in Toquerville, having moved from Pintura. Walter Beatty and family have moved to Kanab. Mrs. L. S. Kleinman entertained enter-tained the Lady Lions and a few special guests at the Dixie Guest Home Saturday night. After the dinner, the ladies played Bingo and all reported having had an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson left last Tuesday for Tremonton to visit their daughter, Mrs. Fred Hanson. Mrs. Leslie Bringhurst and her two daughters are visiting her father in Boulder City. Mr. Bringhurst has employment there. Mrs. Dan- Kleinman came home Sunday with her new daughter, I from the Iron county hospital Mrs. Reta Morris left last Saturday Sat-urday for Provo for medical attention. at-tention. She was accompanied by her father, El Smith and Bishop Leo Bringhurst. Miss Evelyn Slack was home for a few days to visit her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Slack. She has been transferred from Hill Field to San Francisco. Mrs. L. S. Kleinman left for "Salt Lake City Monday morning for a much-needed rest. Mrs. Coe and two daughters have been visiting her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton for a few days, on their way to California Cali-fornia from New Jersey. |
