Show Chamber Made 53. These problems were then prioritized by the group and an attempt was made to set viable goals relating to these problems. The third, and final, session was devoted to devising solutions to the problems and ways of attaining the goals decided upon earlier. The results of the three individual county groups were then looked at and discussed by the group as a whole and will be compiled by Mountainlands and disseminated to those present. All those who attended felt the day to be a valuable first step in looking toward upgrading and improving tourism and promotion in the Mountainlands area and that each county had now established some direction in overcoming difficulties in their own area. It is hoped that this workshop will draw together all. interested Park City persons to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the travel industry and Park City. The workshop will provide an opportunity oppor-tunity for promotional, business and civic leaders to meet and air the problems they individually feel exist in Park City and collectively come up with some viable solutions. The workshop is set for Wednesday, April 26, at the Park City Learning and Cultural Center (Prospector Square). If you are interested and would like to take part in this exciting day long workshop, call Shirley at the Chamber office for reservations 649-8899. More details will be forthcoming as plans are finalized. The seminar was hosted by Mountainlands Travel Council and conducted by Dr. John Hunt of the Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Dept. of Utah State University and joined together people from Wasatch, Summit and Utah counties who are involved in tourism and promotion. promo-tion. The day began by representatives representa-tives from each county meeting together and stating any and all problems they felf their county was experiencing in the area of tourism and promotion-our Summit Sum-mit County group came up with |
