Clear skies, warm weather and good snow conditions made Sunday a perfect Spring skiing day, and activities arranged by the resort left no doubt in anyone's mind that it was indeed Easter. Youngsters were entertained on an Easter Egg hunt led by a furry pink Easter Bunny who despite some sight problems helped the kids locate hundreds of pieces of candy and assorted prizes. For those whom candy had less of an appeal there was a mountain wide treasure hunt. Treasure hunters followed a number of singular clues found at the top of each lift in search of skies, clothing, lift passes, and a 5 day ski vacation in Lake Tahoe. For the regular Park City skier, the clue: -Stake your claim -Have a splendid day -Are you good to the last keg? were easily decifered into ' ' Claimjumper ' ; "Hidden Splender" and "Powder Keg", indicated that the treasure hidden in large plastic eggs could be found in those areas. Despite the seemingly simple clues, several prizes remained undiscovered at sunset Sunday. The Tahoe trip, which include 5 days and nights accommodation at the Klahoya Lodge and equal time skiing at Alpine Meadows, was hunted down by Lee Bray of Kamas, a pair of Dynastar skis donated by Wolfe's was discovered discover-ed by Gary Thomas of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Mrs. Joan Fallon of Flint Ridge, California, located a 10 day pass for next year. Other passes were discovered, but names of their finders were not recorded. Still hidden on the mountain are a pair of Smith Goggles and several T-shirts. |
