Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Kerry and Donna Nelson visited with friends in Tropic as they stopped enroute to a seminar in Bicknell. It was good to see them in Tropic again. Members of the Reginald Stewart family met at Pine Lake Friday and Saturday to help their mother Leona Stewart celebrate her birthday. Sons Glade from Yuma, Arizona. Leon from Monroe and Max and Duane from Tropic and their families were present for the celebration and good time. Jeannene Pollock and Brenda Ramsay made a quick trip to Provo to do some shopping and visiting. Brenda will be attending the BYU next fall so they got acquainted with the area while there. Todd Stubbs' parents spent the weekend with him and his family and helped him celebrate his birthday. Ora Brinkerhoff and Amplus LeFevre visited with the Marv Adams family in Kanab. Viola Marshall had her sons Frank and Roy home for a few days. She returned to Provo with ' Frank for a visit. Renone and Alan Hodson, daughter Suzann and baby daughter, and Christine Li ttlefield spent a day with the Ray Lit-tlefields, , picking cherries while there. Steve and Janet Wilson,, from Salt Lake City visited the Arnold Adairs Saturday. Luella Mangum is home from the hospital. Several of the young people attended a baptismal service in the St. George LDS Temple. The David Pollock family is spending time with his parents the Larvin Pollocks, and the Ken Gouldings in Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jolley attended a family party in Provo over the weekend. While there they heard their brother and sister-in-law report their mission in Wisconsin where he had served the past three years as LDS mission president. Larry Adair and family visited with the Arnold Adairs and picked cherries to take home with them. Stee Mecham gave his mission report in sacrament meeting Sunday. His parents also gave talks, and the twin sisters sang a special musical number. Three of his missionary companions, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Redford, his aunt Joan from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mecham from Green River and the Starns Mechams and three daughters were family members from out of town attending the meeting. Ben Cope,. Jr. and new bride were in Tropic area over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Ott attended the Stan Max-field funeral services. He was Louise's stepbrother, Mr. and Mrs. FrUdiHeywbod returned to Tropic with the Otts and spent Sunday with them. , Summer Primary will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, parents are welcome to attend. Kim Ott is home for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle J, LeFevre are in Tropic for the rest of the summer, Lyle will teach in Panguitch this coming school year. Shanna Barton is the new Sun Beam teacher The George Wilsons attended his aunt's birthday party in Marysvale. Florence Syrett took the cheerleaders to Logan last week to attend the cheerleader's school. Dean Shakespear spent the weekend at his mother's helping to build a garage. llarmon Shakespear had eye surgery in Provo. Lucy Shakespear had several of her grandchildren from Enoch visiting. Ron and Joe McGce and family spent the weekend with Aunt Verdella Nielsen. Edna Clarke, her son and wife and sister also visited Verdella for her birthday. Bruce Jackobsen is visiting with his aunt Ruth Baugh. The Herbert Baugh family are vacationing at Lagoon, the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Hogle Zoo and Timpanogas Cave. Jerry and Bonnie Mecham spent Sunday with the Malen Mechams. The Nyle Richards had daughter Rolaine and family as guests. Dean Bushnell from Arkansas visited Kella Mangum. Paul Mangum and Martin Rasmsay spent the week in Zion working. Paul and Keela Mangum attended funeral services in Beaver for Mildred Bickard. Ruth Mae Hamp and family visited with the - Alston Shakespears. t The Gail Miles family are spending a few days this week with the Arnold Adairs. |
