Show 4-H Membei-s to Learn Local 411 members and leaders will have an opportunity to learn proper record-keeping for their organizations in special workshops sot for this next week. The groups will also be treated to county fair project demonstrations to help them prepare for next month's Garfield County Fair. Utah State University extension agent Verl Matthews and home economist Dcbra Proctor along with the 4-11 Adult Council members have slated the workshops for three separate days this month. They arc open to all 4-H members and their leaders. Emphasis will be placed on how to prepare a proper demonstration of concept, skill or project for the county fair 4-H competition set for August 8. Four-II members may do individual or partner project demonstrations that may range anywhere from two minutes to 20 minutes. Guidelines and tips will be given at each work shop along with some demonstrations to actual presentations which have won prizes at previous county fair competition. The workshops are set for July 20 at Tropic City Park at 10 a.m. for Henrieville and Cannonville on the same day at the Cannonville Community Center at 1 p.m. Workshops will also be held July 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Escalante High School and the same day at 1 p.m at Boulder Community Center. A final workshop is scheduled for July 28 at 10 a.m. at the Garfield County Courthouse.
