Show NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE National Forest "Timber Sale, Dixie National Forest, Billlngsly Creek Sale, located within Sections 24, 25, 34, and 35, Township 38 South, Range 7 West, and Sections 3, 4, and 10, Township 39 South, Range 7 West, Salt Lake Base & Meridian. Sealed bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor, Federal Building, P.O. Box 580, Cedar City, Utah 84720, at 2:00 p.m. local time, at the place of bid opening, on August 17, 1981, to be followed immediately by ORAL BIDDING for an estimated 5,669 MBF of ponderosa pine and others, 1,257 MBF of Douglas fir, and 1,082 MBF of white fir timber designated for cutting. The minimum acceptable bid for ponderosa pine and others is $46.37 per MBF, Douglas fir $6.00 per MBF, and white fir $1.00 per MBF. Additional deposits required for slash disposal is $8.16 per MBF of all species. The bid rates will be subject to adjustment during the period of the sale as provided for by the quarterly adjustment provisions of the timber sale contract. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of dead timber of all species which will be paid for at $1.00 per M board feet. Required bid guarantee is $6,500.00. In accordance with the National Forest Management Act of 1976, a bidder qualifying as a small business under the Small Business Act (as amended and the regulations Issued thereunder) may elect at the time of sealed bid submission to have the Forest Service construct the included specified roads. If the bidder elects to . have the Forest Service construct the roads, the price paid for the timber shall include the estimated construction cost which is $415,972. Such roads will be constructed to the design classes and In accordance with drawings and specifications included in the sample contract. Purchaser Credit Limit Is stated in the sample contract and is $379,894. Purchaser credits available at advertised rates are $206,126. Specified roads, whether constructed by the purchaser or the Forest Service shall be completed by November 1, 1982. (Final date for completion of all road construction.) If the purchaser elects to have the Forest Service construct the roads, the Forest Service intends to perform construction by contract. When the Forest Service intends to construct the roads through a contract, the awards of the timber sale contract will not be made unless either a satisfactory road construction bid is received or if Forest Service fails to receive such a bid within 120 days of opening timber sale bids, bidder agrees to perform road construction. All included timber shall be given domestic processing. Bidders are advised that violation of the domestic processing requirement constitutes breach of contract and may result in contract cancellation or in refusal to award timber sale to violator or debarment or suspension from bidding on future timber sales. If total bid value plus required deposits exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000), an EEO compliance review shall be made to determine if the provisions of Executive Order 11246 have been complied with before award can be made. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
